I decided to be nice and work Wednesday for the other CNA because she was working Thursday and Friday for me. Our flight was leaving Wednesday (October 12) at 5:50 PM. I had clinicals (until 7PM) on Tuesday night so when I got home that night I packed. But remember my process paper is due tonight (Wednesday) at midnight, which I have not finished because nursing school is a bitch and I had 12 other things due/going on. Awesome. I brought my laptop to work in hopes of writing amazing care plans, but to no luck because it was a busy day and I barely got to sit down:( Oh well, because I have the airport huh? I wrote a little bit but I was so panicked nothing was coming out.
While I'm struggling with this beast I have a teaching plan due Friday night at midnight. I wanted to get that done as soon as possible so I could enjoy my Disney trip. So here I am at Salt Lake International trying to write two really big, really important papers. There's not much time on the plane with the "no electronics" thing. By the time we landed, got baggage, checked in, and ate dinner it was late. Don't forget the time zone change which totally gave us false hope. So I have one hour to write 4 care plans. If you're not familiar with one, Facebook me, I'll send you one and it will change your mind lickety-split about being a nurse. Anyway, I spent one hour writing care plans as my heart races and I'm sweating profusely. The more panicked I get, the less I get done. It's 1150 and I still have one care plan to write. Turns out Motel 6 charges a billion dollars for wi-fi which is ridiculously slooooooow so we're trying to figure out how to get my paper to my teacher without internet while the internet is being a turtle. My paper entered her inbox at 1210. 10 minutes late. I still haven't heard if it was accepted.. After one more night of sweating and writing I turned in my teaching plan and the vacation REALLY began.
HERE IS WHERE THE MAGIC REALLY STARTS:
Day 1 (previously written)
We started the day a bit later than expected, at 10 am. We ditched the shuttle and the silly fee that came along with it and made the 10 minute walk to The Happiest Place on Earth! I was giddy as a school girl at the sight of The Matterhorn. We arrived and immediately got fast passes to Star Tours. It was a strange feeling because it felt so new, yet so familiar and comforting at the same time. It felt really surreal until half way through the day. It was 98 degrees today so ignore the shiny, sweaty faces.
Today we rode:
-The Little Mermaid
-Mike and Sully to the Rescue
-Soarin’ Over California
-Grizzly Rapids
-Star Tours
-The Matterhorn
-Buzz Lightyear..twice
-Space Mountain
-The Haunted Mansion Holiday
-Finding Nemo
-Teacups (Danielle & Dominique)because I hate spinny rides.
We attempted to ride Big Thunder Mountain but it broke down while we were in line. We talked to so many fabulous cast members and even the RN'S at Disney! Two dreams in one, right there. A nurse at Disneyland. THIS WILL HAPPEN. Such a fun day!

Right as we get off Space Mountain the park is about to close, but because we're die hards we squeezed in one last ride: Buzz Lightyear. It was right there and we still had 10 minutes! That is Disney Magic!
Day 2 (Previously written)
We slept in again because we are sleepy heads. We ate at Denny’s and then headed to Disney and got there around 11. First up, we got fast passes to Indiana Jones. Turns out it was closed temporarily so we rode Jungle Cruise because it was right next door and we essentially walked on. Our ride operator was so fun and we enjoyed seeing the new additions. After we were done we got fast passes to Indiana because it was up and running again. We looked at the shops in Adventure Land and Frontier Land and met Farley. He’s a fiddle player and he was real fun. He tested our trivia and played some rap songs on his fiddle, and we liked it! Then we squeezed in Big Thunder Mountain Railroad before we were due back to Indiana. Big Thunder was SOOOOOO much fun. Then we rode Indiana which was also so much fun. Everything just feels so much more fun than I remember it. I think it’s because I haven’t been in 4 years that it almost feels new again. I am now at the hotel while Dominique and Danielle get ready for our Halloween Party. I love Disney, and I love Halloween so I’m pretty stoked to put them together.
So far we have rode:
-Jungle Cruise
-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
-Indiana Jones

THEN, we were princesses at Disneyland. No flipping joke. This is Disney Magic! Cast members came up to us bowing and saying "your highness" and little girls pointed and screamed at the sight of me. You guys, they thought I was the real deal. To them, I was just as much Snow White as Snow White is. The next day people (cast members and park guests) STILL recognized us as "the princessess." We made an impact. THAT is Disney Magic!!!

Even Walt himself showed up!Just being a part of this night was Disney Magic itself!
Day 3
We finally got our butts up early so we could get tickets to The World of Color. We headed to ToonTown because none of us had been for years and couldn't remember it. We were going to ride the roller coaster but it broke down while we were in line (sensing a trend?). Instead we decided to meet Mickey. I was unbelievably excited about this. I LOOOOOVE MICKEY and what he represents. It was so so fun. Next, we decided to ride splash mountain because that would be a good idea. HA! WE GOT SOAKED. Never in my 15 times to Disney have I ever seen anyyyyyone get this wet. Soaked, people. Like wet the rest of the day! Then we met up with my friend Kimmie and had the most magical night of the trip. Ready? We went to California Adventure because we had tickets for World of Color later that night. California Screamin (the roller coaster) was being worked on the first two days we were there so we NEEDED to ride it today (Saturday) and it closed at 7 in preparation of WOC. The wait is an hour. We also want to ride Toy Story Mania because none of us had ever been on it, but it was also an hour wait and we couldn't do both. We decided to ride Screamin' while Kimmie did Toy Story. Turns out we only waited 20 minutes and were off the roller coaster in perfect timing to meet Kimmie and her boyfriend at Toy Story. Moral of the story, we rode BOTH rides before they shut down! That is Disney magic! The magic continued with the amazing show that is World of Color. Seriously, most amazing thing I've ever seen! Show was over at 930ish. We wanted to ride one more ride before the park closed at 10 because once again, we're die hards! So me, Kimmie, and her boyfriend ride Soarin' Over California and Dommy and her sister ride the swings (barf). We make it before the park closes and then head over to Disney to soak up our last two hours there. We have fastpasses to Indiana Jones that we can use as long as we get TO the line before midnight. So our plan is to ride one more ride before Indiana and make the most of it. Here we waited in our longest line of the WHOLE trip (30 minutes) for Matterhorn because it's all of our favorites. We get off the ride at 1153 and sprint from Matterhorn all the way to Indiana Jones and make it just in time! We were the last car on the ride! THAT IS DISNEY MAGIC!

The fact that I got to go on this trip was Disney Magic. The fact that Dominique is my friend is Disney magic. The fact that I got to be Snow White at Disneyland is Disney magic. There were magical surprises everyday, they even made us Honorary Citizens of Disneyland for being crazed fans! I will truly cherish this trip forever!!!!
