Since my birthday is so close to Christmas, it's hard to do much. I had a little birthday dinner at Cafe Rio with some close friends on the 17th. Yes, I did have my birthday dinner at Cafe Rio. I sort of like that place..a lot! Sara made my castle birthday cake and it turned out absolutely incredible (and effing delicious)! Don't believe me? Take a look:

I LOVE these girls

While my birthday party was effing awesome. My birthday wasn't until the 21st. My boyfriend, and best friend had something planned and that scared me..I like to plan things. And not knowing what my birthday would bring, was not fun for me. All I knew was I was supposed to be up and ready by 9. If you know me at all, you know I love my sleep. And I've gotten less sleep this break than I have when I'm in school because I've been working so much. So to say the least, I was less than thrilled, but I got up. When I got in the car, Sara blindfolded me. UH-OH. Thank goodness (or not thank goodness in this situation, I cant decide..) I have horrible motion sickness, so she let me take it off. Which didn't matter because I had no effing idea where we were anyway. 30 minutes later we pulled up to Elase. I thought we were going to do laser hair removal, because that's what I know them for, which is awesome, but so NOT what I expected. Sara informed me that we wer Ne getting massages. A MASSAGE? Never had one, but definitely at the top of my list. But it gets better/sweeter. Marty paid for me AND Sara to get hot stone massages and facials. I nearly cried. What a sweet sweet boy! Those 2 hours were the best of my whole life. I felt so relaxed and my skin is so soft. Sometimes I need to calm the heck down, because I was worried for nothing. What a great surprise!
After massages, me and Sara went to get lunch at Bajio. Then I had a doctors appointment. I know it's lame to go to the doctors on your birthday, but it's the only day I had off and I need vaccinations for nursing school. After that, I got ready for dinner at Tepanyaki.
I know dinner at Tepanyaki is always awesome, but our chef was EXTRA hilarious this time and my chicken teriyaki was delicious. We sat at a table with these 3 older couples. They were feisty and hilarious but they kept asking me why I wasn't married. Um..I turned 21 2 days ago, call me crazy, but I wanna fly solo. Enjoy my party years!
Before dinner.

Matching peacoats!

After dinner we went to see How Do You Know? We had a few hours to kill before the movie started, so we went to Christmas street and gave awards for "most lights", "best lights", and "cutest lights" to all the houses. I love that Marty participates in my silly games:) We still had time to look around at some stores in Jordan Landing. Lovely Martin bought me some glitter at Roberts so I could do glitter nails. They are now red and glittery for Christmas and I love them. I also got a hair clip, and some paper for some craft projects I have lined up. Then we went to Target to look around because I LOVE Target. I found a sweet baseball nutcracker for my dad for Christmas that I HAD to buy. It's awesome. I know he'll love it. Is it Christmas yet?
By that time it was ready for the movie. I absolutely hated it. It was 2 1/2 hours of Reese Witherspoon moving in and out of Owen Wilson's house every 7 minutes. But I enjoyed the popcorn, as always.
See below for all my wonderful presents:

iHome from Sara. WITH remote. I love it. I can get ready at my vanity and change a crappy song without getting up.

Mini. As in Westmini:) My friends got it for me for getting into nursing school. Ah. So cute. And it still feels good!

NEW CAMERA from my parents. I had to take a picture of my new camera with my old camera. haha so weird!

Girlfriends frame from Sara.

Stethoscope from Grandma for nursing school!

Pink Toms from Marty. If these weren't made for me, I don't know what was!

Scentsy from Ness. I got the flirtacious scent and smells effing delish!

Piano from Casey. I'm not kidding. I literally got this. I don't know why the photo is so small, but the piano itself is large..and awesome!
So I was slightly spoiled? Yes. But all good princesses are:)
Those pink Toms are seriously the COOLEST thing I've ever seen. Really.
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny because you and Vienna have the same birthday and so much of this post reminded me of her. She LOVES cafe rio. She went there with Rob on their wedding day for lunch. She loves crafts and Target is one of her favorite stores in the world.
Karissa, it must be the birthday! That is hilarious though
