I get home Tuesday from work and there is a letter from the financial aid office. Westminster offers great.wonderful.awesome. scholarships to their students. Two of my scholarships I get to keep the entire time I'm a student, so all four years. I don't have to reapply or doing anything really, but pass my classes and remain full-time. Cake. Every year though I DO have to fill out FAFSA and apply for private scholarships to pick up the rest of tuition. More awesome news, at Westminster, you fill out ONE application and write ONE essay then they match up what you're eligible for. I did this back in February, so I was feeling a little discouraged believing I didn't receive a scholarship since come June, I STILL hadn't heard from them.
The letter I received notified me that I GOT A NURSING SCHOLARSHIP! I also got some grant money this year and on top of my permanent Westminster scholarships I had tuition paid for (and then some). All in all, I am receiving $27, 350.00 from Westminster in scholarships or grants. That is a brand new (realllly nice car) and they are giving it to me. Ah. Can I get a WOOOOO-HOOO!
Gaahhh and it's going to your education... I would love the brand new nice car! haha But I just finished my education. (well, mostly).
