Arizona and Vegas

WOOO-WEE. It's been a bit!? I have been enjoying my summer! Between that, work, vacations, and no power cord for my laptop, I have been a slacking blogger. I will tell you about my vacations but if anyone has a laptop cord for a Gateway computer, lemme know. I ordered a replacement from Amazon, and it stinks. Like, I'm pretty sure it's gonna start a fire. Plus, today, it stopped working. So I have to sneak into my brothers room and take his cord until he yells at me to give it back. It's been real hard to watch Secret Life of the American Teenager episodes at night, I'll tell you.

Nearly a month since my last post of complaining about the weather and we're STILL having crappy weather. Crap. Well they aren't skimpy on sunshine in AZ! It was great. I spent looooots of time by the pool. See?

I also went to Toby Keith's bar, which was pretty incredible. I wished and wished that Toby himself would be there..but of course he wasn't. His bar is pretty sweet though. There's a live band that plays every night (and they're good!), a huge dance floor for cute cowboys to swing you around, and a mechanical bull.

My last day there I was riding in the car with the window down and my eyes closed. Her mom asked what I was doing and I said "soaking in the sun." I literally tried to remember everything about the sun on my face and the wind in my hair because I knew I wouldn't be seeing much of it when I got home. Boo. The best part is, when I got home no one (mostly the girls from work) believed I was actually in Arizona because I wasn't sunburned.

Them: "You were in Arizona? But you're not even sunburned."
Me: "(laughs) that was the point."

Hello dummies, I had skin cancer..TWICE. I don't mess around with sunburns anymore. Even though temperatures were consistently above 100 degrees (even at night it lingered around 95!) I never once complained "It's too hot." I mean I was always in A/C or a pool. Hey Arizonaians, come live in Utah through a (loooong) winter, then complain about your summers, eh?

Oh, I also got to hang out with my dad's aunt (my great aunt) and my dad's cousin (my second cousin) who both live in Mesa and are both nurses. My aunt is retired, but my cousin is a big-wig on the cardiac transplant team. We went to dinner and had a chat about my future as a nurse in AZ. Turns out, job opportunities are more plentiful then in the Beehive State so I might just live my life in sunshiney Arizona!

I got home from Arizona on June 1 and then June 13 I left for Vegas! I have been to Vegas a billion times but never since I've been 21. It really is a whole lot more fun!

I didn't gamble or drink really, but it WAS nice to be able to sit in the casino if I wanted to. I did get a little brave and gambled and won $15! It was on the penny machine so my winnings were 1500, which makes it look so much better. I was screaming with delight!

The first night we stayed in the Aria. If you haven't heard of it, it's new and beautiful. and huge!

There were 3 pools and 4 hot tubs. The pool was so warm and there were beautiful men everywhere, but most of them were guidos, jersey shore style.

Then we stayed at the Paris. It was definitely not as nice as the Aria, but I loved it all the same. The atmosphere was great. Everything was in French, most of the people that worked there spoke French, and there was a 24 hour crepe place! Of all the times I've been to Vegas I have never been to the top of the Eiffel Tower. So since we actually stayed there, we did it.

We watched the Bellagio water show from up there and it was sweet! I also checked out the pool. I mean you could see e v e r y t h i n g!

Our flight home was obnoxiously turbulent. I felt nauseous the entire time. Ugh. It felt nice to land and sleep in my bed again. I didn't sleep at.all in Vegas. The night I came home I slept 11 hours straight without so much as a pee break!

I will be back with more happenings from Summer but I must go cuddle with a cute cute boy right now. I will be dishing no details on him because I don't want to jinx anything, but if nothing else he's nice to look at:)
