Cure Search Walk

If you have ever read my blog then you know about Cure Search. The walk was on July 9th. This was the first year the walk has been held in Salt Lake City and it was the biggest walk yet! There were over 1,400 walkers and we raised over $72,000! Our goal was only $50,000 so we clearly blew that out of the water! I'm very disappointed more of my friends and family didn't join me though. No one should have to suffer through cancer, especially little kids. It wasn't a long walk at all and I just hope more people will join me next year.
Look at all those people!

Anthony was kind enough to walk with me!

This is the team I joined, Team Skyler. There were waaaaay more people than this too!

And I met my hero. This little boy is the whole reason I'm so passionate about Cure Search. This is my friend Skyler.

That night I went to Kenny Chesney with Steph and Carolyn but I didn't bring my camera so I'll have to get back to you on pictures from that. It was amazing! I'm in love with Kenny.

In other news, yes I saw Harry Potter and YES I LOVED IT! My favorite characters are Professor McGonagall and Neville. We all know I haven't read the 7th book yet so I wasn't disappointed about it leaving parts out. For this, I am grateful! I was able to watch the movie with zero expectations and appreciate it for the aaaaamazing film it is.
p.s. I'm on book 5!

Then last Monday I went to the days of '47 rodeo. It's a tradition, except I've skipped the last 2 years because I was sick two years ago and conflicting schedules last year.

I love me some hot cowboys:)

  1. Anthony is the bomb.
And after your post about Skyler I went through and bawled through his blog, and about 5 of their friends'. Broke. My. Heart. I'll be there with you next year if we're in SL!!! So sad I missed this year, and that I didn't know about this sooner!

  2. Had to comment on the Harry Potter portion of this blog. I saw the movie today and, even after recently reading the 7th book, I wasn't disappointed. Sure they left parts out, but unlike the other movies I think they got all of the really important parts in this one. It honestly felt complete. LOVED IT. I'm excited for you to read the book.
