boys.

ok ok so I still haven't posted my surgery pictures.. I'll get around to it. For now, I wanted to vent about boys. I was dating this boy who I happened to call Shawn the Hottie like it was his full name. This kid is adorable and not 19. I know right? Well I had surgery last Wednesday (I've contemplated the idea of adding "having surgery" to my list of activites on facebook, it's getting ridiculous, I know) and he told me he'd come over and see me. Since I have a kindergarten crush on this boy of course I'm all sorts of excited, except he doesn't come. But he assures me he'll be there Thursday(day after surgery). Something told me (maybe I'm very cynical at this point in my life. saddd) that he wasn't coming. So I text him, and sure enough, he's not coming. He has a bullshit excuse like they usually do. [He didn't want to meet my parents. grow a pair dude. are you kidding?]We've briefly talked but my dreams of becoming Dr. Lott are shattered. [Tell me Lacy Lott is not the cutest name you've ever ever heard?] Plenty of fish in the sea, eh?

The following is a a list of things I want to say to him and any other boy who feels like acting like that. Man I feel like Taylor Swift haha!

1. be manly. act like a freakin man. and grow a pair.

2. be honest. you should never be afraid to tell the girl you are falling for how you feel, about anything. if you are scared of her or her reaction, that’s a problem. refer to tip number one.

3. be direct. whether it’s good or bad, she WANTS to know what is going on inside your head. the cold shoulder is not only rude but extremely immature. refer to tip number one.

4. be kind. not just to the girl but to her friends and family and anyone else she is acquainted with. respect is a BIG deal.

5. be proud. hold her hand wherever you go. you will score sooo many brownie points when you introduce her as “my girl”.

6. be sincere. let her know you understand why she feels a certain way. also, being sincere when you tell how YOU feel.. it helps the girl trust you a little more.

7. be aware. know the things that will make her smile or make her frown. she likes to be asked if everything is okay judging by the way she acts. she likes that you notice. body language is a woman’s main language, didn’t you know?

8. be fun. play with her. chase her around. keep the feelings alive, above and below the surface.

9. be accepting. don’t change her. don’t let her change you. unless you choose to change together.

10. be you. why do you think she fell for you in the first place?

I'm not so sure why men are so afraid of feelings, but it's so upsetting.#3 and #10 are my personal fav.

peace. love. and friday (we're ALMOST there!).

  1. My sweet baby the truth of the matter is that males will never EVER be able to tell us what they are thinking because it would ALWAYS wind up getting them a smack in the face! When you are least expecting it Mr. Right will come a knocking:) Dont let any man take up space in your head rent free!

    Love ya babe!
