Bah- Humbug!

I feel like I'm being the grumpy man I met in the Chick-Fil-A line today, but you know what? I HATE SNOW. There is absolutely not one thing I like about it. Most people say oh "I like the snow if I don't have to drive in it." I hate snow 24/7 even if I can stay indoors all day because I know at some point I'll have to go outside and be in it and that is not ok with me. There are so many things I hate about the snow in fact, that It's hard to say what I hate the most.

I HATE:
1. Scraping my car windows off. Um, hi I don't have 20 extra minutes in the morning to go scrape my windows so I can drive to school. UGH
2. My hands and fingers hurt from being cold from scraping said windows.
3. It makes e v e r y t h i n g wet. The bottom of your pants, your hoodie made of cotton, your purse, your backpack.
3. My toes are always cold.
4. You can't wear cute shoes or flats, just boots, and if they're the cute ones they're usually not warm.
5. DRIVING. Yes, I did cry on my way home tonight. Eff driving in snow it's beyond scary. I'm still trying to recover so I can sleep and I've been home for over an hour.
6. The falling snow messes with my hair-do and curls my hair.
7. My cheeks and nose become disgustingly red. So unattractive.
8. Everybody disappears from my school and goes skiing/snowboarding and I suddenly have no friends.
9. When those kids are on campus they talk about how much they "shred" and use the word "knar" as an adjective.
10. The snow gets all gray and black from cars and it's just ugly to look at.
11. Shoveling the snow sucks. I have to shovel my driveway just so I can get my car out of the garage? Party foul, hate this!
12. Everything gets icy which means slippery! I sort of did just get my hips fixed, and even though it was fun and all, I'm opposed to a nice tumble that will ship me right back to the OR. I'm the freak walking like an idiot trying not to fall.
13. It lasts until freakin May! It just hi-jacks spring like the mean man he is. [Old man winter that is].
14. It seems to ruin my birthday every year.
15. My old woman hips hurt in the cold [arthritis] so I hate when it's cold, especially when I shiver, because it can be quite painful.

I'm the car going 25-30 mph on every street. If you're behind me, either a)get over it, or b)pass me because I will NOT go faster. I also tend to cry while driving in the snow, it's completely normal, I just get super scared and picture horrible crashes and bad things. Don't ask me to pull over, I'll be fine.

Drive safe out there kids!

  1. Don't even worry, I'm an avid crier while driving in the snow. I'll do everything in my power to avoid it. I don't get the notion that makes everyone think I still need to endager my life to get to work when there's inches and inches of snow on the road and accidents about every mile. mmm no thanks. That's a huge reason i want to move, I live really far east, which means on a mountain side and it snows like crazy. I can't stand to drive in it. In fact, I might sleep at my mom's this week, just because she lives five minutes from my work...
