I ended up passing both my exams and I didn't really care because the next day (24th) I was flying to sunny California to forget my nursing school blues. Why in the world would I go to SoCal and NOT hit up Disney? That'swhatIthought..
Friday I woke up at 630 to catch my 8am flight. I got there but Kimmie and her boyfriend (whom I stayed with) both had work until 430 that afternoon. So Kimmie, being the doll she is let me drop her off at work and gave me her car. WHAT!? Yes. I drove my happy self all over Tustin (look it up.) First stop: lunch, chick-fil-a. It was at this meal I found out my checking account is (still is) frozen because of a fraudulent charge. Ugh, so not ideal. Luckily my bank rocks and the charge never made it through so I'm not out anything, other than I have to get a new debit card. I tried to forget about bad people who do bad things and walked around the strip mall enjoying the sunshine. The people sitting outside may or may not have thought I was borderline psycho for pacing but the weather was so nice I was not going to spend it indoors! That night we went to a restaurant called Lazy Dogs where you could bring your dog to dine with you! No joke. It was delicious food too and I enjoyed the company. After dinner we played some Mario Party on the Wii and found out I am no good at the Wii. I am used to my Kinect and move around entirely too much.
Saturday was our first fun-filled day of Disney! Our first ride of the entire trip was the Chew Chew Train. Which I have NEVER rode. It's in Bugs Land but it is so cute. You go through a watermelon and smell watermelon and animal crackers and smell cookies. It's great. And Heimlich is your host and he's German so I love it!
Then we went to the animation studio and learned how to draw Mickey (my favorite!!!!)
This day was full of so many firsts as I had never rode the train or been in the animation studio. I also went to Turtle Talk with Crush (and actually asked him a question!), got a map of the Jungle Cruise (just ask after you get off), saw the musical Aladdin show in the theater right by Tower of Terror, can't remember the name, and found lots of hidden Mickey's. We stayed a full 12 hours and went home and crashed.
Sunday was full of more firsts. I ate my first Monte Cristo, and pommes frites. Translation: fried ham and cheese sandwich and parmesan covered french fries with a yummy cajan dipping sauce at Cafe Orleans. I HIGHLY recommend it if you're in Disney soon. Next I did my first pin trade. It was sort of exciting and I had my eyes peeled the whole rest of the day for cast members with pins I could snatch up. I found more hidden mickeys, learned some inside Disney secrets that only true fans would know, and rode Indiana Jones a billion times. Oh I also made Kimmie stop and take my picture with Ariel and Sleeping Beauty.

I like making it fun for the kids so I play along with the characters, but this Sleeping Beauty was not having it, she was a real beast. She sneered, smiled for the picture, and was probably praying I would leave, I don't think she liked her job much..

Oh ya another first! We ran into Cinderella AND the Fairy Godmother at the same time!

We went back to animation studio but this time drew the Chesire Cat, behold:
I need to darken up my lines so it looks like he actually has fur..There are so many details in between but just know I spent about 25 hours in Disneyland last weekend and loved EVERY second.
This truely was a trip of "firsts" when I definitely didn't think that was possible. Disney Magic.
Gah! I want to go to Disneyland so badly now. Also, I love your new picture.
